ACT Region Environment Awards

The ACT Region Environment Awards will also be presented at the Symposium in the afternoon to an Individual, Group and Youth. These Awards recognise those who have made an outstanding contribution to protecting the environment.

 

Earth Hour at Parliament House - Optional Activity

It is Earth Hour night! The Symposium and Awards will be followed by optional participation in fun Earth Hour activities culminating in the main national Earth Hour event at Parliament House, later that evening. See the event details here.

Come together on the lawns of Federation Mall outside Parliament House at 6:30PM on Saturday 29 March to shine a light on climate change. Bring your family, picnic blankets and snacks and join your community for an open-air screening of the premier Earth Hour documentary “It’s Lights Out for the Reef: an Earth Hour special.” Together we’ll light candles against the backdrop of Parliament House and make it clear that Australians of all walks of life want to see more ambitious action on climate change.
