Friends of Jerrabomberra Wetlands

What We Will Do

Collaborate with local residents and conservation, management, heritage, education, Aboriginal and recreational groups in the restoration and maintenance of the Wetlands.

Weeds & Feral Animals

Support the practical management of weeds and pest animals (cats, foxes and rabbits) which already infest the Wetlands. Proximity to major residential areas increases the risk of infestation.

Contribute to environmental sustainability through an outreach program to local residents to raise awareness and responsibility for conservation of the Wetlands.

Rehabilitation & Recovery

Foster local involvement in practical weed and/or pest animal management activities that could extend to bush or urban park rehabilitation and recovery campaigns.

Indigenous Involvement

Members of the project team have already worked with some of the local Aboriginal community, who will be approached for information and guidance.
