Join us to discuss the balance between development and nature and the state of biodiversity offsets in the ACT
Biodiversity offsets remain contentious, with the 2015 ACT State of the Environment Report indicating offsets are not yet demonstrating any gain for biodiversity, or ensuring no net loss. The ACT Government's offset policy framework released in 2015 seeks to address some issues. Join us to discuss the state of offset policy and what can be done about it. Are governance arrangements up to date? When will we (ever?) see net biodiversity gains?
