We learn a lot about our household, and our community, from the 'waste' that it produces. We can see what resources people use and how highly they value them. Waste management is more than the recapture and recycling of resources like plastic, paper and metal. It is also about how successfully we can avoid making waste in the first place.

How can we pivot our approach to focus on waste reduction rather than management?
