World Environment Day is the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our global environment. As part of this worldwide environmental action the Conservation Council ACT Region holds an annual celebration of sustainable food and environmental advocacy, to raise support for our work protecting the environment.

Why not bring a table of friends to share one of the best nights on the Canberra calendar and celebrate the achievements of the Canberra environment community in style! Send out invites to friends via our event page on Facebook HERE.

The evening includes a talk by Stuart Barry – author of The Rich Greenie – Financial strategies for living well while saving the planet, live music and provides an abundance of networking opportunities for 300 attendees, including VIPs, member group supporters and volunteers. We are partnering with the award winning Ginger Catering and local food hero Chef Janet Jeffs will design a delicious three-course meal made with seasonal and local produce.  As part of the evening we will also hold a silent and live auction to raise money for the work of the Council and its member groups.

And, if you catch the free bus or ride your bike to the event you’ll get a free ticket in the draw for a special raffle prize. This year Switched On Cycles  have generously donated a Perpetual Motion IV Electric Bike valued at $1,800 as first prize. Second prize has been generously donated by Canberra Urban Adventures and is for up to 7 individuals to go on the ‘Wildlife Discovery and Ride with the Roos’ trip, valued at $700.

Check out the individuals and businesses who have generously donated prizes to our raffles here!

Don’t miss out on unique regional food and wines, live music, inspiring speakers and a range of fun activities including a silent and live auction. Mingle with the best like-minded community of people passionate about the Canberra region’s air, water, flora, wildlife and land!
