DESCRIPTION:See Mount Majura through new eyes – join guide and Ngunawal Traditional Custodian Tyronne Bell as he interprets the landscape at Mount Majura\, pointing out the area’s natural resources and how Aboriginal people expertly used these. During the walk Tyronne will point out artefacts\, bush foods and a scar tree and discuss their traditional uses and cultural significance. Mount Majura is the highest hill in northern Canberra – 888 meters above sea level – so we’ll also be able to enjoy amazing views across Canberra \n​WALK DETAILS\nDate and Time: Sun 29 March\, 10:00am – 12:00pm\nMeeting location: Will be provided to registered participants prior to the event\nWhat to bring/wear:\n – Sunhat\n– Long pants\n– Sunscreen\n– Enclosed shoes suited for walking along trails\n– Binoculars (if you have them\, but not necessary\n– Water and snacks \nREGISTRATIONS\nhttps://events.humanitix.com/branching-out-the-plants-and-animals-of-stromlo-woodland-walk \nYour safety and rescheduling\nYour safety is our first priority. We monitor weather\, location and track condition to assess risk and ensure safety.
