The REDcycle soft plastics story keeps getting worse, with stockpiles now found in 44 locations around the country and the major supermarkets now considering exporting it due to lack of domestic recycling capacity, with the recycling industry apparently no closer to real solutions.

Send a message to Federal Minister Tanya Plibersek and urge her to take action.

The Boomerang Alliance has released two action plans – Plan B for all plastics and The Household Soft Plastics Plan, and is working with the community, recyclers and plastic free campaigners to bring pressure to bear on local, state and national governments and the packaging sector to deliver less plastic and less waste.

The campaign webpage also has resources to spread the word. Support the campaign by completing the form to send an email to Minister Plibersek, then share the message on social media.

The Conservation Council is also writing to ACT Ministers asking them to push for action at the next national meetings of Environment Ministers and Industry Ministers.
