With your help, we have supported more than 100 experts and environmental organisations to speak out against the proposal, we have empowered over 650 people to sign a petition calling on DHA not to proceed, and we have made sure that Lawson Grasslands was front and centre in the minds of politicians ahead of the 2022 Federal Election.
Together, we have been able to slow down the proposed development at Lawson Grasslands and ensure that a full Environmental Impact Statement is conducted at the site.
But the fight to save Lawson Grasslands is only just beginning…
In 2023 the Federal Environment Minister will consider whether the development at Lawson Grasslands should be approved under our national environment legislation. As part of this process we will have 20 business days to formally speak out against the proposal by making submissions.
