World Environment Day is the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our global environment. As part of this worldwide environmental action the Conservation Council ACT Region holds an annual celebration of sustainable food and environmental advocacy, to raise support for our work protecting the environment.
Why not bring along a table of friends to share one of the best nights on the Canberra calendar and celebrate the achievements of the Canberra environment community in style! Check out our Facebook event page here to share with your friends.
We are thrilled to have Dr Bob Brown - former senator and federal leader of the Australian Greens - as our guest speaker.
Warm yourself during the Canberra winter as our major partner Broadbean Catering cooks up a treat, using local and seasonal produce. Both vegan and vegetarian options are available. A three course meal plus champagne and canapes to start, and your ticket will include wine.
Don’t miss out on unique regional food and wines, live music, inspiring speakers and a range of fun activities including a silent and live auction. Mingle with the best like-minded community of people passionate about the Canberra region’s air, water, flora, wildlife and land.
Tickets start at $99 for early birds who take active transport to the event and include a three course meal plus champagne and canapes to start with bottles of wine at your table.
If you catch the bus or ride your bike to the event you'll get a free ticket in the draw for the Active Travel raffle. Switched On Cycles has generously donated a Perpetual Motion IV Electric Bike valued at $1,800.
We are proud to partner with Broadbean Catering for the 2019 World Environment Day Dinner
