We’re inviting you to submit a photo to our Western Edge 2027 Calendar.
The ‘Western Edge’ is 9800 hectares of beautiful, critically endangered ecosystems to the west of Canberra; bordered by the Murrumbidgee River and the regions of Kambah, Weston Creek, Molonglo Valley and Belconnen.
As a continuing focus on preserving this amazing, precious place, the Conservation Council will be selling a 2027 12month calendar as a fund raiser for the campaign.
We’re inviting you or your organisation like to be a part of this campaign by donating us a photo of a plant or animal living in the Western Edge area. We will select 13 of the photos submitted, to be included in the calendar. You will be provided with full recognition on the calendar and in other promotional materials – we unfortunately, however, cannot offer payment for photos.
You can submit your entry by filling out this Google Form. Here’s how to submit your photo to us:
- The photo should be high definition, suitable for printing as A4 (30x21cms), landscape, and in colour.
On the Google form you’ll need to supply the following information:
- The name of the photographer, and the member group they belong to, if applicable.
- A short paragraph about the photo submitted: the species, its location, the date it was taken and its importance to you and the Western Edge biodiversity.
- A written declaration stating that the photographer has given permission for the photo to be included in the calendar.*
We will let you know if your photograph has been selected.
*Also, if your photograph is selected for inclusion in the calendar, we will require you to sign a licence with the Conservation Council regarding its use.
We expect that the calendar will be available for sale by pre-order from September 2026.
Thank you so much for making an entry!
