Citizen COP Australia is a decentralised, people-powered movement by People For Nature, running alongside the 2026 global COPs to expand the “Green Zone”—the public, open space of COP designed for participation—into communities across the country, turning global climate, biodiversity, and circular economy discussions into accessible, citizen-led conversations that everyone is invited to be part of.
In 2025, the Australian chapter of AlterCOP, brought to life by People For Nature, reached 1,400+ participants across 42 events, 8 locations, and 49 organisations.
In 2026, we are building on this momentum with Citizen COP—an Australia-wide movement of local dialogues contributing to broader conversations with government and strengthening a collective voice for climate and nature. We’d love you to be part of it.
