Join the Conservation Council annual World Environment Day dinner Saturday 3 June at National Arboretum Canberra

Our annual Dinner will be held 7pm Saturday 3 June at the National Arboretum Canberra.

We are thrilled to have Professor Penny Sackett, physicist, astronomer, current member of the ACT Climate Council and former Chief Scientist of Australia (2008-2011) as guest speaker. Our MC for the evening will be the wonderful Lish Fejer from ABC radio.

World Environment Day is the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our global environment. As part of this worldwide environmental action the Conservation Council ACT Region holds an annual celebration of sustainable food and environmental advocacy, to raise support for our work protecting the environment.

Warm yourself during the Canberra winter, as Janet Jeffs of Ginger Catering cooks up a treat using local, seasonal produce. Both vegan and vegetarian options are available. A three course meal plus champagne and canapes to start, and your ticket will include wine.

Don’t miss out on unique regional food and wines, live music from Sebastian Field, inspiring speakers and a range of fun activities including a silent and live auction. Mingle with the best like minded community of people passionate about the Canberra region’s air, water, flora, wildlife and land.

Tickets cost $135.00 and include a three course meal plus champagne and canapes to start with bottles of wine at your table.

7pm -10pm National Arboretum Canberra Saturday 3 June

Why not bring along a table of friends to share one of the best nights on the Canberra calendar and celebrate the achievements of the Canberra environment community in style!

And check out some of the transport options to get to the dinner. If you catch the free bus or ride your bike to the event you'll be in the draw for the raffle for an electric bike from Switched On Cycles.
