ACT for Bees

Act for Bees are educating people about the importance of bees for pollination and our food and ways to be ‘Bee Friendly’!

ACT for Bees visits markets, Festivals and Sustainability Conferences teaching about the importance of bees for pollination of our food and ways to be ‘Bee Friendly’.

They have partnered with  ‘Cool Australia- Learn for Life’ to create an exciting ‘Love Food?Love Bees!‘ curriculum for years 5/6 that can be downloaded from the Cool Australia website and taken straight into the classroom & also practically outside in the garden!

They have an  updated flyer ‘How to create a Bee Friendly Garden’. The new version has lists of plant to create a bee banquet and a range of actions you can do to be ‘pollinator friendly’.

They  created the  Be Bee Friendly: No neonicotinoid pesticides in your garden flyer 2015 which has common brand names of most popular ‘neonicotinoid’ pesticides that are so toxic to bees. Confidor, Sharpshooter & Yates Rose Gun Insecticide are a few of the most common Australian products.
